Dear Listers,
Well, its November 30th and that means two things... I'm 41 years old
today - your sympathy is appreciated; and its the last official day of this
year's List Fund Raiser!!! There is still plenty of time to make your
Contribution to assure your place on the List of Contributors. Also, there
are still lots of Contribution Gifts available including the very popular
List Archive CDROM, Aircraft Fuel Tester, 24 Years of the RVAtor, and the
very cool Kitlog Pro software!
Below is another awesome set of comments from listers regarding how
valuable the Lists are. Please read them over and make a Contribution to
show your support for the Lists as well!
The List Contribution web site can be found at:

Ok, So I know you guys really don't care but I am always seeing these user groups
and other websites where these guys get to display there recent accomplishments.
Usually, hot rods or some other hobby activity.
So , I am going to bore you with more pictures of the progress of my airplane cowling.
Again, most of you know that I took off my lower engine cowling about a year and
a half ago. I wanted to modify and glass in a new intake scoop and landing light
assembly. This was a very tedious job as I hand land all of the glass and
then had to painstakingly fill and sand and fill and sand.
Well, it is 1:35 AM EST time and I just came in from the garage with pictures of
the cowling with 2 coats of clear. Tomorrow I will wet sand with 1000 grit and
put on 2 more coats..... and then it is done. Except of coarse putting on new
camloc fasteners. But first I have to make a camloc tool. I am not about to
spend 40 bucks for a glorified pair of pliers.
Here are a couple of pics. I am very happy so far with how it is turning out.
Next up. I am going to build a set of fiberglass pressure cooling baffels. Then
I can remove the large aluminum baffels, save some weight and increase the cooling
of my air cooled engine.
