Guys,
I got the skinny on this from JD. So the bottom line is, if you have the
type rating, and are a current CFI w/ appropriate category & class ratings,
then you can teach in the aircraft and recommend candidates.

Zach said that there was some supposed problem with the fact that a 500
hour CFI could instruct in jets and that was considered a "flaw" in the
fabric of the ETR system by the FAA.
On the other hand, the guys instructing in eastern europe in these planes
have less time than that, but let's not drag logic into it.

Yes I'm sure. I got it directly from JD Martin and yes, you are correct a
500 hr CFI, as long as they have the type rating & appropriate ratings, can
teach in that type of aircraft. Would I want to learn from a nugget like
that? No, but there you have it.
