Jorgen,
If you are certifying the aircraft in the US you are going to need the
following:
Mantenance Program: This document is what the FAA is looking for. This
lists the time life limited parts and their life span, your maintenance
including 50 hr, 100 hr 250 hr and 500 hr inspections. Mine is about 1/2
" thick. I don't have an electronic copy, but try to find someone local
in your area with an L-29 and copy theirs.
Annual Program letter: This outlines what airshows and flyin's you will
be attending this year. Your airplane will be certified experimental
exhibition, which means the only reason that plane should be in the air
is for proficiency flying, going to and from an airshow, flying in an
airshow, and flying for movie production. This letter must be sent to
your local FSDO every year. Your operating limitations will outline that
as well as what you CANT do with your airplane. Some examples of the
limitations that will be placed on your airplane are:
You must take off and land from your designated Home airport.
Your flights will be limited to a 600 mile radius of your home airport.
If an event is outside you 600 mile radius then you must notify the
corresponding FSDO of your flight.
You cant take passengers for joy rides
Don't think that the experimental designation is the same as someone
with an RV or other kit plane, the exhibition part of your AW cert
really puts restrictions on you and the plane.
This is not a trivial process if you have never done this.
What part of the country are you in, depending on the FSDO you deal with
will make the difference in the amount of pain you'll need to endure.
For example, if you are in the LA FSDO jurisdiction, you can just forget
about getting your plane certified.

Hi All
My jet arriving in a week or 2. If anyone has any electronic info on
the jet it would be really appreciated.
If you have and don't mind sharing any info, please email direct to
jorgen.nielsen@mweb.co.za
I have to create an ops manual, the index of which is pages & pages
long! Must cover issues such as admin & control, operational policies,
aircraft type related procedures, training, a maintenance control
manual, etc. This is going to keep me busy for a long time, as I can't
fly the jet without it.
Jorgen
