Skinner" Hi, We have a local fellow who removed about 250 lbs, soviet radios,adf,iff, some wire etc., does not seem to have any gain in takeoff distance, speed or climb, for local flights just reduce fuel amount, Have also seen drop tanks converted to baggage. If you seem to be using too much runway be sure and check your exhaust nozzle for match with your engine, these range from 303mm to 316mm , check your last overhaul in your engine book because they can change .
