Well I'm sorry to sat that my first attempt with using a 24v marine
refrigeration compressor was a failure. Worked in the hangar but no in
the sun. Just not enough capacity with the little compressor.
My next attempt will be to use an electric motor turning both an auto
type compressort and a fan for the condensor. Entire unit will be
enclosed in a box which will fit on the IFF rack.
The electric compressors being used in the new hybrid cars like the
Honda Prius wont work since they work on 400v DC and they probably
cost a fortune. One other experiment is to put electrically operated
valves in the existing A/C plumbing to shut off all flow to the
windows and feet and just vent ALL the pressure to a nozzle just in
the fron seat or a nozzle in the back seat or back to normal
ventilation mode. I beleive that there is enough pressure to give you
a nice cold blast if it can be contained to just one or 2 orifices.
The main problem with the current system is that all the air is just
blown mainly on to your feet with no directed air pressure coming out
of those pin holes on the canopy defoggers.
I've wired my diverted valve wide open to cold. There is absolutely no
reason for heat in the airplane. On the way home from waycross @
11,500 I had to put the A/C on to stay cool. it was 40 degrees outside
at the ramp, so it must have been 15 or 20 degrees @ altitude and I
was really warm. Even with a properly operating diverter valve it
doesnt go completely to full cold letting Hot bleed air mix with the
cool. My diverter valve broke allowing me to saftey wire the
mechanism to send 100 % of the bleed air to the turbo cooler. I do get
better performance, now I just need to concentrate the air to a single
point.
This is all moot on the ground though, unless you're turning at least
70 -80 percent power the turbo cooler isnt really doing much, so you
still need aux A/C on the ground in the summer.

Been doing some detective work, found that the ad was somewhat
misleading, as they utilise an evaporative cooler, claim 10 degree C
cooling effect. Made for small cars, the water supply (surprising not
much) gets mounted in the engine compartment, and the evaporative cooler
gets ducted in cars normal ventilation system. System would not work
well in humid environment, and I am not sure about their claims.
However, I did find a 12v / 24v compressor driven system designed for
yachts, they claim 8A current draw.

Hi Ernie, which one don't work, the yacht one or the evaporative cooler
one?

The yacht one. The evap cooler wont work in high humidity environments
either, plus going inverted with a bucket full of water isnt such a
good idea either.
