Ok folks, I'm back on the Air Conditioning project again. I have found
a new manufacturer of a DC compressor that has the capacity to do what
I need. The weight is a little more and current consumption is up a
little at around 45 amps, but should work pretty well.

Hello guys,
Here is a website that has all of the L-29 cockpit labels
Go to _www.yakuk.com_ (http://www.yakuk.com)
Then Click on Documents
Then scoll almost to the bottom to: L-29 Delfin manufactured by Aero
Vodochody, Czechoslovakia.
Then click on: _All cockpit labels for L-29_
(http://www.yakuk.com/l-29_labels.asp)
There you can click on 5 different sets of cockpit labels with the emergency
items on a red sheet.
They can be downloaded and then put on a disc and taken to your local
printing or sign shop or engraving shop to have labels/placards made.
Hope this helps-- Scott Douglass Reno, NV 775-853-1946

Hi All
Mark J did a great job putting these on the web site. But they are scans
of the original master, and are not perfect, I am sure Mark never
intended them to be. 2 problems are apparent - first because they are
scans they are not colour perfect, blacks are grey, and second they are
not size correct. If you print them you will see they are close but do
not actually fit.
I downloaded these and used them as a base to create new accurate
versions. Pixel by pixel. This took many hours, but as I was waiting
months for my aeroplane it seemed a good idea at the time, the more I
worked on them, the more I did not want to finish but then did not want
to write off the time already invested. So I persevered and eventually
finished.
When the aerie arrived, I sat in the cockpit with a ruler and checked
dimensions and remastered the sizes and some text again.
After all that they are still not perfect. I have used many on the
plane though. Each file is now at 300dpi, is black on white, completely
linear and distortion free. Problem is each file is now 24MB, so is way
too large to email.
I plan to carry on with this, this weekend. Will post the results.
I have a full set of new original military (foreign language) labels /
placards arriving soon, this I was going to use as a base to measure
more accurately and then finalise the labels.
Jorgen

Way to go Ernie! I await feedback with bated breath, panting and
sweating and somewhat dehydrated.
Nice to see action on this list again. I flew my L-29 in anger properly
for the first time yesterday - she is everything I had hoped for and
more. Took off, flew out to GF, played with basic handling, stalls
clean and dirty, then back for 3 touch & goes and the landing. She
flies great, no vices so far.
Got politely crapped on by my instructor for wanting to do aeros on the
way to the GF! Was allowed to do some rolls on the way back.

I just talked with Gulf Coast Engravers and I am working with them to get a
sample and price to put on this site. I will have one item made to check the
size, quality, and UV rating. They have asked as I live within 20 miles of
their business could I take the lead to get items perfected.
Any questions you can call 713 781 3792 (days) or E-Mail to
ca6209@flash.net.
I will send each a fax with what she sent me previously.
I will try to scan and put this on the web site.

Go to _www.yakuk.com_ (http://www.yakuk.com)
Then Click on Documents
Then scoll almost to the bottom to: L-29 Delfin manufactured by Aero
Vodochody, Czechoslovakia.
Then click on: _All cockpit labels for L-29_
(http://www.yakuk.com/l-29_labels.asp)
There you can click on 5 different sets of cockpit labels with the
emergency
items on a red sheet.
They can be downloaded and then put on a disc and taken to your local
printing or sign shop or engraving shop to have labels/placards made.
Hope this helps-- Scott Douglass Reno, NV 775-853-1946

Could you please post details? Like manufacturer, model, and how to get
ahold of them?
Thanks,
David

Jorgen, if you wish to email them, send them in a compressed TIFF
format. It uses a non-lossy compression algorithm, whereas JPEG is a
lossy algorithm. Should make a 24 meg file down to about a meg or two,
depending upon black/white ratios.

Ok Jorgen,
Glad to hear you're enjoying your new toy...........Ok alll acolades
stop now. How well do you know your systems? Heres a questions for
you.....Take this as a "how well do you know your plane question"
I'm sitting in the back seat of your L-29 minding my own business,
while you're off enjoying yourself as being some real Seria Hotel jet
fighter jock, when all of a sudden your GIB instructer tells you,
while you're on final approach for landing and all of a suuden you've
been told that you hit your "GEAR UP" button rather than your "GEAR
DOWN" button..........How do I know that?????????????
I cant see your hands..........This is not a trick question.
Ernie
