They are mechanically locked up, I am not sure then what circuits are disabled (such as the hydraulics - you indicate that would be). Perhaps the automatic brake operation is NOT disabled, in which case you will hear the brakes operate or see the brake pressure guage indicate momentarily as they are automatically applied. If not that, I give up - put me (us?) out of our misery...
