    Subject: wing leading edge damage
--> L29-List message posted by: "Brian Colombo" <bcolombo@twcny.rr.com> ok on my newly acquired l-29 the leading edge of one of the wings was rubbing on the trailer someplace. After about a week on the ramp in upstate ny a faa guy looked it over and said the damage had to be repaired before it could be flown. the damaged spot is about the size of a quarter and if you laid a flat edge over it, it would appear to be about 1/16th or a little less. of an inch deep. I cant tell if it was pushed in a little also or it it was actually that worn away. Where do I find out what is acceptable and what has to be fixed. The faa guy said if I could show him something that said what damage was within limits I did not have to mess with it but where the heck would I find that. The biggest issue is the plane is stripped so its not like I can use filler and re-paint the spot. Any suggestions, Ideas. etc. thanks Brian
