Change your fuel filter first. Then if you still loss power turn on ISO and
see if it increases and stays up. If that is the case, You may need a
barametric controller. I have been there done that.

the heck would I find that. The biggest issue is the plane is stripped so
its not like I can use filler and re-paint the spot. Any suggestions, Ideas.

Concur with Matt do you have any caution lights illuminated and how long did
the jet sit before fireing it up and what type of fuel was in the tank?

I would talk directly to the inspector, the thickness of the metal on an
L-29 is much thicker and stronger than a C-172 many times at least in my
experience the FAA inspectors down a perfectly good aircraft due to there
lack of knowledge of our warbirds. I have seen several in the country with
similiar chaffing. If talking it through with the inspector does not work
then I would call in a DAR cost you a few bucks but usually will cut through
the ignorance. Send me a photo when able.

bill thanks for the info. I took a flat edge to it and a caliper and it only
measured 32 thousandth at its deepest point. He did not ground me , he saw
it sitting on the ramp and put a tag on it saying these things needed to be
fixed prior to flight, Well I guess that would be grounding it. Nothing was
left out. I can send you a pic of the spot. Any idea how think the metal on
the leading edge of that wing is? If I know that maybe I can argue that 32
thousandths will not make any difference in strength. thanks for the info.

Do not agree with the acceleration valve. If isolation valve did not solve
problem suspect fuel flow problem. How many hours are on the airplane?
