    Subject: alternative fuel
--> L29-List message posted by: "Brian Colombo" <Bcolombo@twcny.rr.com> What else is an approved fuel for the l-29? I know the casa and fouga jets can run on clear or red kerosene and even some 100ll when mixed with jet a or kerosene. I am also looking for a tach/gen and a tach for a test stand I am building for a spare m701c. Does anyone know where the oil cooler lines come off the turbine and return to the turbine and do you think I will need an oil cooler for a test stand? Thanks

You shouldnt need an oil cooler. --> L29-List message posted by: Colyergreg@aol.com Ernest, I don't know why you would want to run 100LL, it would burn but that's more than Jet A costs at almost every airport. Temps would be higher and it won't run as well either. Kerosene works fantastic. I burn both clear and red most of the time (it's cheaper than Jet A) and it's the same as Jet A minus the additives that they add to fuel. Diesel works too but is a very dirty fuel that will clog up your fuel filter very quickly. I hope this helps... Greg PS _www.aerol29.com_ (http://www.aerol29.com) is a new site that will be completely up and running by years end with a forum as well.

--> L29-List message posted by: "Brian Colombo" <Bcolombo@twcny.rr.com> I was not planning on running, 100LL but I do know the casa/fouga guys sometimes cut the jet A with some to help them light off faster. what about home heating oil? anyone running that. I will call Doug Monday for the parts, I did not need new stuff so I figured I would check with you guys first that might have some old used stuff sitting around. Who has built a good tail dolly, and would you share the design?
