There is only one other way you can get a flame like that going during the start sequence. Please give your two cents worth. It is important that you guys kick in your thoughts because we are all L-29 owners and have a fairly diverse background and IFthis engine experienced something out of limits it should be addressed. Here is the question of the day... HOT or NOT? Here is a link that you can copy and paste into your Internet browser. The link will NOT work with AOL, so if you have AOL you will have to copy and paste it into Internet explorer outside of AOL. This is a recent video from a start sequence of a CJ-610 (approx. 3,300lbs. thrust) that has been installed into an L-29 and the EGT gauge was NOT yet connected. The explanation by the operator is that there was residual preservative oil in the bottom of the honeycomb section in the tail pipe, BUT the engine had been started several times prior to this start, so I suspect that ANY residual oil would be completely burnt off prior to this start. Appreciate your input and enjoy the "Barbecue"! My vote is HOT, VERY HOT! "Weenie Roast"!! "Beer Here"!! "Hot Tamale"!! What's your vote??? Fill in the blank "_____________________"!! _http://s152512866.onlinehome.us/anonymous/GE_Start.swf_ (http://s152512866.onlinehome.us/anonymous/GE_Start.swf) NOTE: You will need Adobe Macromedia Flash 8 and if you don't have Adobe Macromedia Flash 8 you can use this link to upload it for free. It's a good utility to have anyway. Just copy and paste the link and go to Adobe's site and then click the download and run the program and then you can view the CJ-610 engine start. This one is a GOOD video to see. _http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=Sh ockwav eFlash_ (http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=Sh ockwaveFlash)
