The point of the L-29 story was just that a story. A simple L-29 =
experience. One that we can sit back and think about. Like the first =
solo, or your first cross country. Not a talk on the FAA, not a talk on =
controllers and their worth or lack thereof. Just a little hanger =
flying. Before you try to preach to me about regs, lets talk about =
flying when we are obviousley not qualified, going off the end off =
runways, low speed passes at the flying-yard all of which I am sure are =
not legal. But before we get caught up in a mud slinging contest, I'll =
just keep my experiences to myself.
I'm sure you didn't mean to say you "Bought" your FAST patch, you =
probably meant to say, I "earned" my patch. Yes it was expensive, but =
when your experience level grows, the cost of training will go down.
How do you guys stay friends? I guess I'll just have to grow some =
thicker skin. I'll work on it.
I'm going flying, but I'm telling why.

LOL.... It's all about being friends and the camaraderie...
If we can't poke some fun at each other and laugh at ourselves then why
bother...
Pilots screw up and controllers screw up.... I screw up... It's all part
of "hangar flying" and working together and learning as we go
One thing difficult about email is that it's not possible to show expression
so things don't get misconstrued.
Nothing to do with thick skin. We're all friends because each person
contributes a unique quality that makes up the dynamics of our group and we all
are
a part of each other's experience. It wouldn't be near as much fun without
the synergy of the group.

Scott and I are just ribbing each other, all in good fun. We've known each
other since High School so all is well. Yes, I earned my patch, I was just
saying it's the best $5,000 dollar patch around!!!! I am proud of it. Thanks
