How hard would it be for someone like Fram to make a version of this filter?

Calm down,
I think that you will find that the filter is an
existing part. It doesn't make sense to design something with a new and
exotic filter.
I think that a visit to a filter shop would be worthwhile. No one puts
weird specs on a filter, the dimensions and filter size will be
standard.
No one, not even a commie, wants a lame duck part.

And I'll give you $80 a per filter.

Ah... it was sort of an inside joke about offering Greg $80 a filter.
I sold my L-29. So I don't need any filters, so I don't need to "calm
down". :-)
But going to your local "filter shop" probably isn't the best alternative
especially when there still are plenty of filters available in the US and
overseas. However, if you can make a Fram oil filter work.... Good luck and
Happy Flying! :-)
