Subject: L-29 Owner
There used to be two L-29's here is Australia. One was recently written
off, thankfully no one was hurt. This is third hand info and I don't
profess to know anything about the L-29 landing gear except it is button
operated!.....apparently there is a gear up lock solinoid (?) that let
go and the gear partially extended in flight...the pilot elected to do a
partial gear extended landing, ouch! So now it is just me and my lonely
old L-29. Still plodding along collecting bits and recently I was able
to give my aircraft a new hangar floor so she has been moved in now to
prepare for rigging etc.
