Anyone got one of those horrible L-29 birds that they just can't stand any
more? I'm thinking I might just help out an internet friend and help take
one off your hands. Don't know what I could do with it but there ya go.
(hehe.) Actually, I'm just fishing at this point. My wife is nowhere near
sold on them and I have yet to be able to justify the 104 gpm....
Been so long since I've been flying, though, that I'm about ready for anyt
hing. Well, maybe not anything. Tight Mooneys and death trap Polliwagens
(remember those?) and highly risky Q2's are not in my future. Yeah, I kno
w, it's a crazy world out there.
David in Huntsville, Al.
I might have to get someone to ferry it down to Gadsden, Al and ask those
guys to work me until my hours and competency are up to snuff.
Beautiful weather we're having here right now!

There are SIX L-29's sitting on the ramp in Reno that are ALL for sale!
They were used in a military contract by a civilian company that is switc
hing to another aircraft for this mission. The stock L-29's were too SLOW
for this contract. Oink, Oink..... Lol.....
There are also 2 or 3 that have been re-engined with the Viper and Pratt
engines.
These planes were very well maintained to fly this contract and all have
nice paint and good avionics.
You should be able to find someone ready to dump their L-29 cheap. There
is also a flying L-29 in Reno in a hangar with a zero time factory overh
auled engine that can be bought CHEAP, but it needs paint and radios. NOT
my plane, but I can put you in touch with the owner.
Email me off list if you want this info.
