Its used for the gear and the accumulators.-- An adapter can be mad e for this to screw US nitrogen line on.- =0A=0A-=0A-=0A-=0AFrom: e rshire =0ATo: l29-list@matronics.com=0ASent: Monday, November 14, 2011 12:44 PM=0ASubject: L29-List: O2 and N2 Fitting=0A=0A--> L29-List message posted by: "ershire" =0A=0AAny know where I can get the pressure fitting to service the Russian Oxygen System a nd Landing Gear Strut Nitrogen?=0A=0A=0A=0A=0ARead this topic online here: =0A=0Ahttp://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=357841#357841=0A=0A=0A - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Matt Dralle, L =========================0A ================= ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 11:07:16 AM PST US From: John Fischer Subject: Re: L29-List: O2 and N2 Fitting ershire, I do not know about the L-29, but on my Yak-52, I just took the Russian valves out of my landing gear, and put in American high pressure schreader valves. it was as simple as unscrewing the Russian fittings and screwing in the new ones. At the Cold War Air Museum our practice has been to adapt the ground equipm ent=2C not the aircraft. In the case of nitrogen=2C we simply tap the nitr ogen nipple (CGA 580) and install a spare Soviet fitting that matches the other end of the hose... Doug can sell you a spare fitting for a couple buc ks. If you don't have a Soviet (er=2C metric) hose=2C get whatever hose yo u'd like to fit to your nitrogen bottle and then make a little brass adapte r between them. Typically we take a "nitrogen bottle to Soviet aircraft" hose with us whene ver we go to airshows. Doug sells stuff for the Nanchang CJ-6A=2C but there's so much commonality between that and most other Red Star aircraft that he should be on your "po ssible parts source" list. He gets a container full of stuff from China ev ery other month. His number is 509-826-4610 Jon PS. I made up an oxygen fitting for my L-39 and the MiGs by using a US hos e and making brass fitting to adapt it=2C just the same as the nitrogen stu ff. > Date: Mon=2C 14 Nov 2011 11:04:55 -0800 > From: fish@aviation-tech.com > To: l29-list@matronics.com > Subject: Re: L29-List: O2 and N2 Fitting > > > ershire=2C > > I do not know about the L-29=2C but on my Yak-52=2C I just took the Russ ian > valves out of my landing gear=2C and put in American high pressure > schreader valves. > it was as simple as unscrewing the Russian fittings and screwing in the > new ones. > > Good Luck > John Fischer > > > On 11/14/2011 10:44 AM=2C ershire wrote: > > --> L29-List message posted by: "ershire" > > > > Any know where I can get the pressure fitting to service the Russian Ox ygen System and Landing Gear Strut Nitrogen? > > > > > > > > > > Read this topic online here: > > > > http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=357841#357841 > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > =========== =========== =========== =========== =========== > > > ________________________________ Message 5 _____________________________________ Time: 01:08:50 PM PST US From: SD737@aol.com Subject: Re: L29-List: O2 and N2 Fitting I have a factory Nitrogen Landing Gear Strut Fitting for sale.
