Best I can determine the valve port has M10 threads for a M10 taper thread fitting and the fitting itself has a 37 degree flare with M12 threads and p robably is a straight fitting. I want to convert my nitrogen purge valve to a shut off valve but my fitting and drain line is missing. From previous p osts and responses from owners that have made this conversion, I understand the Czech valve will leak a little when opening and closing but it still s ounds like maybe a worthwhile change for now. I may have possibly found an American made valve to replace the Czech valve that will not leak. It is a mechanical valve and inexpensive. Also, may ha ve found an electromechanical valve (24VDC) that can be actuated from a swi tch in the cockpit to close/open the valve (valve is normally open and defa ults to open) that might possibly work. This valve is very expensive though ($600 off the shelf). Both rate up to 10,000 psi. The real problem is I have not been able to locate adapters for the SAE val ves that are SAE 1/4 NPT male on one end and M10 female taper threads on th e other end. Also need straight, 45 degree, and 90 degree fittings that hav e a 4 mm hole, M10 male taper threads on one end and 37 degree flare with M 12 male threads on the other end. =C2-Anyone have any or know a source? H aven't been able to find in the US. If the metric fittings and adapters are not available, another possible sol ution may be to cut the flare off the tube ends and replace the M12 nut wit h an SAE nut and re-flare the tube and use std AN aviation fittings.
