Guys,Don't know what the issue is with your trim motor but there's not a lo t to it.I had my trim motor overhauled at a local servo shop. It had bad be arings and a bad power wire that had broken inside due to a bad solder join t. It cost $300 to repair. There are also 2 switches at the base of the rudder that control the trim m otor, in addition to the box on the trim motor. The switches at the base of the rudder have contacts inside. I had to clean the contacts. If these con tacts are dirty, the motor will not work. Once I did all the above, my trim motor now performs better than it ever has. I can send the contact info if you are interested,. On Thursday, October 26, 2017 5:29 PM, Alekh <lekhkar@telus.net> wrote: It's in Calgary Alberta. No photos. Take off the rear most spine cover on top of the tail. Under thi s cover, on top of the tail, and at the forward base of the vertical tail y ou will find 2 black switch boxes, side by side. You can't miss them. Disco nnect the wires and remove the boxes. Remove the switch box covers. Very li ghtly clean the inside of each of the contacts with 2000 grit sandpaper. Fu rther clean with electronics cleaner, available at most auto parts stores. Reinstall. Run the flaps up and down to re-set the switches.=C2-The dirty switch contacts cause most of the trim motor problems. If the trim still doesn't work, would suggest having the trim motor tested. There are also microswitches in the square box on top of the trim motor. C heck to make sure the microswitches are not stuck open or closed. These mic roswitches control where the trim motor stops in relation to the flaps by t ripping various switch combinations. Just as an aside, I believe the 2 switch boxes under the rear most spine co ver on top of the tail control power to the trim motor to signal whether to run forward or backward, and all power in general to the trim motor.
