Have checked all front to back. We figure it is the Automatic starting device
that is on the pump. I've taken one off an old engine, and we hope to test it
this week.
If its not the ASD, then I guess I'll have to spring for a new HP pump.
I hate just changing parts till it starts.

If Bob doesn't come thru, I've got 35 fuel filters and I can hook you up.
Wouldn't happen to know how to get the oil pump out of the M701?=C2- Mine
won't come out the bottom. Drops down about a quarter inch and that's it.
=C2- Does the oil pan need to be dropped?

Could be the HP pump.
In any cases, the HP pump is not made for civilian fuel, but for
military fuel (civilian + lubricant ).
