Earl,
How's your airplane flying now? Did you ever get done using my AIAA book
on flight testing? I'm going to need to reference a few things soon in
there so whenever you could get that back to me it would be appreciated.
Thanks, Brian W.

Hey all you guys (and gals) building Lightnings (and those now flying), how
about updates on your projects. I kept you guys informed when 31BZ was going
together and in the test flying phase, so how about some of the same from
you. I am sure there are lots of people out there that just need a little
encouragement on a regular basis to get to work on their projects or perhaps to
make the final decision to get on the order list. Surely some of you can
type. :-) So check in with your N number or kit serial number and give us all
an
update on your progress, thoughts, or suggestions. Liven up this list.

Buz

Thanks, Buz! I'm leaning towards a Lightning. I want to know more,
from other builders, about their experience with the company and plane.
I understand that Linda's plane is in the paint shop this week and that
her panel is almost ready for installation. I hope to go to Shelbyville
around the end of February for a personal look - see. Regards,
John W.

Hey Guys & Gals: I am seriously interested in starting a Lightning. I now
have a Bonanza and an Ercoupe.
I am looking for info on how others are doing on their projects, and how
they like the airplane.

Lynn and John,
At least we know there are a few of us on the list today. Hopefully
more will check in soon and provide updates on their projects. Both of you
mentioned thinking about building a Lightning and I would certainly encourage
you
to do that. If you want a great looking, great flying, fast flying and
quick to build airplane that is inexpensive to buy and inexpensive to operate,
then the Lightning should be high on your list. Lynn, I would assume from your
e-mail address you have an S model Bonanza. Great airplane. I had an M-35
for 15 years or so (past Oshkosh and Sun-N-Fun champ), but when it sold I
replaced it with my Esqual LS (Lightning stuff - hybrid). Fuel cost went way
down. I still have my J-3 Cub, but have sold my S1S Pitts that I had for 29
years. I just was not flying it enough since I finished the Esqual. And as
much as I love my Esqual, the Lightning is a better airplane. You will love
it.
Blue Skies,
Buz
