Here's a third shot at a panel for my Lightning. I'm nowhere near done, but just refining as I go. The MGL Avionics Odyssey is an incredibly versatile instrument and fully programmable, comes with a GPS and both displays are MFDs. Since I am a bit of a computer geek, this appeals to me in a big way. My biggest question will be how it fits in the lightning panel. It IS only 60 mm deep, so that helps. I will be looking and dimensioning at Oshkosh. I hope I will be able to poke my nose in a Lightning or two while I'm there to get a feel for clearances The panel is setup with two Odyssey MFDs, compass, Garman SL-40, Garman GTX 327, TL-3524, Trutrak ADI Pilot II, Airspeed, Val AP100, ELT, and some other stuff. The MGL stuff is very light weight. Jim!.

Jim: I hope you get a chance to look at the support panel around the metal overlay. I would guess that you will have to cut so much of it away the there will be very little left at the 2 upper corners and it may break. But you have to see for your self. I saw this on another list. I believe it is supposed to be introduced at Oshkosh this year. No prices yet, but looks intriguing: http://www.aveoengineering.com/products/digital-flight-deck/index.php Colin K. OK

Yes John; it's going to be a tight fit. I can move it down some and will give ti a good look before passing on this one. I like everything about it, so if it down not fit, I will go with the Enigma which has the same functionality, yet smaller screen. I'll be starting on my Lightning in a week and a half, so I will be able to see it in real life which is always easier to visualize things. Jim! That IS pretty cool. I wonder if everything is integrated in to the one unit, or they are selling several units, each with their own functionality?
