Thanks for the input Mark, it is tight and may not work in this
configuration. Plus, the Odyssey also may not fit as shown as the loop
takes up a certain amount of space at the top which diminishes my cutout
space. This would put my backup instruments in the center and probably
force me to use the smaller round face comm. And x-ponder, like a Becker.
I know that Linda was really cutting it close with hers at the bottom. I
like that configuration with the backups below as it is in my direct line of
sight.
I just loaded a CAD program on my computer so I can draw things out exactly
the way they are. Also, when I get down to Green landings in about a week,
I will be able to lay cardboard pieces on the actually panel and get a
really good visual of my available space.
Jim!

Jim,
I looked at the panel you posted and I'm concerned that you haven't taken
the 2" bend at the bottom of the panel into account during your design. The
reason I say this is the dimension from the top of the corners just above
the fresh air vents to the bottom of the panel look too long. If I'm correct
then you will lose all of you back up instruments and controls below your
screens.
Is your picture drawn to scale?
Mark

Subject: | Lightning Line drawing on Aircraft Paint Schemes |
By today or tomorrow, we will be able to get a line drawing of our Lightning
from Aircraft Paint Schemes.
The site is http://www.aircraftpaintschemes.com/
You can then use this in any vector graphics program line Illustrator,
AutoCad, Coral Draw, PowerPoint, etc to create your own paint scheme for
your Lightning. The nice thing is that you can "slide" your color objects
on and off your aircraft without having to mess with a bitmap like in a
paint program.
This is what professionals typically use to design paint schemes and it is
great that they have recognized the Lightning as a desirable project.

Hey guys. Aircraft Paint Schemes has added a high quality line drawing of
the Lightning.
Anyone wanting to work on some visualization for painting can get one from
them.
