If you're interested in buying a complete NXT see: http://www.trade-a-plane.com/classified/search?browse=single&usealttemplate=1&adnum=787373 Ebay auction starts Oct. 25th, starting bid of $400k. Umph! It does nearly double the speed of a Lightning, but for 6ish times the price! Also have some numbers on what the fuel burns are, and well, it's high! Brian W.

Charles,
Kevin said that he wants to build another plane. Probably wants to chang
e things up, different cockpit, different engine, etc. Next one will be for
racing as well. Kit number 9 was just delivered. These things were aroun
d before the lightning. This was the 3rd year of racing, so 3 kits a year,
pretty specialized stuff. Surprised actually that they're not more expens
ive. Brian W.

I am at the point where I am fitting the center console in preparation for
installing the seat pans.
My question is:
Of those "taller" Lightning owners who have the newer kit with the shaped
seat pans, did you do anything else to lower the seats? I am going to try
to lower my center console as far down as I can. I made some "U" shaped
cuts in the bottom of the console where it sits on top of the spar box to
gain another 1/2". My end result will be that the front of my seats will
rest right on top of the spar box.
This will help my taller torso. My understanding is that when they built
the current Arion demo, they didn't lower the seats like this. To be
honest, this is good news as I had enough room in the demo when I sat in it
at Sun n Fun, so, this mod will give me a little more.
Jim!
