Kennedy" Subject: Lightning-List: Fiberglass Cutting Tools Thanks to Tex for the advice on tools to date. I am still building my toolkit while waiting on the kit delivery which is now scheduled for the week of December 10th. Arion uses and Tex recommended an air grinder with cut-off wheels. I don't have a compressor. Can anyone recommend an adequate electric tool? I also need to buy hole saws. I am told carbide is best for fiberglass. Anyone know a good source? I am thinking that I don't need top quality tools as there is not a lot of cutting to be done and after this project, it may be years before I need them again! Colin K. Many times, if you do a little research, you will find that some of the tools made for people like Grizzly, or even the higher end companies are made by the same people that Harbor Freight imports from, (like their metal cutting bandsaw) The nice thing is that they take their tools back with no questions asked if they fail. I went through 2 hydraulic jacks before I got one that was right. No questions asked. If I am buying power tools, I buy quality since I am using it many times over during my lifetime. If I am using something 4-5 times, I look at HF.
