List of Contributors Published Dec 1! Dear Listers, The List of Contributors (LOC) is just around the corner! On December 1st I post a list of everyone that so generously made a Contribution to support the Lists. Its my way of publicly thanking everyone that took a minute to show their appreciation for the Lists. As a number of people have pointed out in their Contribution comments, these Lists seems at least as valuable of a building/flying/recreating tool as a typical your magazine subscription! And how interactive is a magazine, after all? Won't you take minute and assure that your name is on the upcoming LOC? Tell others that you appreciate the Lists. Making a Contribution to support the Lists is fast and easy using your Visa, MasterCard, or Paypal account: http://www.matronics.com/contribution Or, by dropping a personal check in the mail to: Matronics / Matt Dralle PO Box 347 Livermore CA 94551-0347 USA (Please include your email address on the check!) I would like to thank everyone that has so generously made a Contribution thus far during this year's List Fund Raiser! Remember that its YOUR support that keeps these Lists running and improving! Don't forget to include a little comment about how the Lists have helped you! Thank you! A celebration is in order. The National Aeronautic Association or NAA has confirmed my US National Record from Savannah to San Diego, and has sent the World Record paperwork to the FAI in Switzerland. It will take the FAI at least 30 days to respond, maybe more and winter is coming. So now is the time for a party, and you are invited. Saturday, December 1 from 11 am until we all get tired and go home, probably about 5 pm. Location: My T-hanger at the Fulton County Airport (FTY). FTY is in the NW quadrant of the intersection of I-20 and I-285 on the west side of Atlanta. If the weather is bad we will move into the big hanger next door. I can't promise VFR weather, but we haven't had rain for a month. Driving directions: >From north of Atlanta, take I-285 to Donald Hollowell Parkway, exit 12 (also US 78). Exit, go right to the 2nd light at Fulton Industrial Blvd, turn left and go about one mile. Turn right at the traffic light and sign for the Airport (aka Charlie Brown Field). Follow that road past the GA Highway Patrol Post. Proceed straight on the 2-lane road to the right of the Hill Aircraft Terminal building. There is an automatic gate with a squawk box to request entry. Press the button, and tell the person who answers that you are going to Earl Ferguson's T-hanger. They will open the gate. Go past the hanger on your right and turn right on the wide ramp area. Do not proceed straight ahead onto the taxiway. You will pass the Fire Station, and the T-hanger is the next building. There will be some activity and airplanes parked, so it won't be hard to spot. If you get lost, call my cell 404-667-1065. If you have not driven on an airport before, be aware that you should give way to any moving aircraft. >From other directions, it may be easier to take the Fulton Industrial Blvd. exit 49 off I-20 (first exit outside I-285). Go north from I-285 past the airport until you see the large airport entrance sign at the traffic light. Turn left and see the details above to get to the T-hanger. If you arrive by airplane, ask Ground for T-hanger directions, there are only 7 in two adjacent T-hanger buildings, easy to find. There is plenty of ramp space for almost anything you might arrive in, but if you have an A380 or a Dreamliner some prior arrangements may be advisable. We will be cooking hamburgers and hot dogs, and maybe something else. Drinks and a cake too. Earl and Susan Ferguson and N17EF. No RSVP is necessary. Feel free to bring anybody who may be interested. **************************************Check out AOL's list of 2007's hottest products.
