Linda,
Look for Movement in the inboard flap bracket. On the earlier kits, about 30
and earlier the counter sunk structrual screw that holds the bracket on was a
bit long, so the manufacture of the flap used an extra washer, unfortunately this
caused the braket to loosen over time and cause the flap to move about a 1/2"
or so but no problem in flight. Discovered this on our Demo. The plane was
out of trim all of a sudden. We also after about 20 degress flaps noticed a roll
as flaps deployed. One flap would stay up a bit as the other went down causing
a roll. We have since fixed the this on the kits long ago but not before
ours or yours, and have flown the demo and all of our problems have gone away.
The plane flys straight flaps up or down as it should.....

Hi Lightning Lovers,
I have a mystery to see if you can help explain; when I use 10 degrees flaps
for takeoff in the Lightning, they raise automatically during the takeoff.
I have never had to retract the flaps after takeoff. Any ideas? Anyone else
noticed the same phenomenon?
Merry Christmas,
Linda
