Hi Buz, great newsletter again. I was especially interested in your performance
graphs with the extended tips. Do you have a comparable set without the tips,
same aeroplane, same weights, similar atmospherics for comparison?

Earl, You paint such a lovely picture. What I really need is personal
physician (young female) that likes to fly. That way I stay motivated to make
all the doctor's appointments and keep a smile on my face. Hope all is well in
Atlanta.
Blue Skies,
Buz

Selwyn,
No, I don't have, but probably Nick does since he did the phase one
testing on the prototype and the first and second demo Lightnings. I did these
flights on the new tips since he was getting busy and needed some help. Since
he has published Vx, Vy and best glide numbers for the standard wings he
would have had to do this type of testing to determine those things. Whether
he
has graphed them for publications, I really don't know. The reason we went
to the trouble to graph out these is that at some point in the hopefully near
future they plan to do at least one Special Light Sport Lightning and this
type of data will be required for ASTM testing standards.
I am going to attach some of the "writings" from past newsletters that
you requested.
Blue Skies,
Buz
