Hey Lightning gang: I finally got my Lightning home, only to discover that
my fuel quantity indications stay at the maximum all the time. I have checked
the senders (Nick says they are calibrated properly) and they appear to be
working properly. The red wire is hooked to power, the black to ground, so the
third (yellow) is hooked to the Grand Rapids Technology (GRT) EIS. If you un
plug the sender, the EIS reads nothing, and when you plug it back in with
power, the EIS reading goes to maximum (with about 5 gallons in the tank). The
codes are set to what GRT recommends. I have changed the plus to minus and get
minimum (zero) fuel indication. I am out of ideas.
I have corresponded with Arion several times. and tried everything Nick
suggested to no avail. Have any of you builders experienced this sort of
problem? And if so, how did you solve it?
My fuel flow works OK, and gives me a reasonable totalizer indication.
So I know about how much fuel I have remaining. Any help/ideas would be
appreciated.
