    Subject: Value of the List...
If you look forward to checking your List email everyday (and a lot of you have written to say that you do!), then you're probably getting at least $20 or $30 worth of Entertainment from the Lists each year. You'd pay twice that for a subscription to some lame magazine or even just a single dinner out. Isn't the List worth at least that much to you? Won't you please take a minute to make your Contribution today and support the Lists? Contribution Page: http://www.matronics.com/contribution Again, I want to say THANK YOU to everyone that has made a Contribution thus far during this year's List Fund Raiser!! These Lists are made possible exclusively through YOUR generosity!! Thank you for your support! Matt Dralle Email List Admin.

    Subject: Props and selection
Tex, I would get a wood prop, just don't have me sol on anything else yet. We typically use a sensenich 62FK58, that is with leg fairings and wheel pants for good cruise. If you don't need to go blazing fast than a 62FK 56 is a great climb prop and around the local area type flying. My though on the ground adjustable is that it does work well and can be matched to the plane, but they seem to be a bit harsher in smoothness, less economical on fuel burn, and slower on the Lightning. But I know you like float planes and if you put your lightning on floats this is what you would want. :-) nick _____ From: owner-lightning-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-lightning-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Tex Mantell Sent: Friday, November 21, 2008 7:07 PM Subject: Lightning-List: Props and selection Nick or Buz, can probably answer this one. I am about to start thinking about a prop, and know Buz has had a few different props on his plane. I am wondering about the ground adjustable or maybe a straight wood prop. There has been many comments about props on the net and was hoping that more info was available. The Warp prop is out after I see Doug back stepping on his comments on performance. Also voids the warrantee. Now that there is enough planes flying I was hoping more info available. Nick, what is the present recommendation from Arion? I know each plane will be slightly different and which engine one has( solid lifters or not). I feel that a nice cruse prop is the way I would like to go , for the plane will get off the grass fast enough with any prop. What is the lead time on ordering a prop? Tex

Again, We have no mediators on this group that is what makes it great but I would please refrain from any posts not at least some what involved with the Lightning, good or other wise. Your rant about the sport cruiser is not pertinent here by any means. I am not sure how you measure successful, if it by shear quantity well than I guess they have got us there. But we supply and deliver kits and parts on time, answer the phones and email list if needed. So I don't know which aircraft you might rather have? And well I just don't think the latter is as damn good Looking as the Lightning. So what ever you are claiming or disclaiming or shouting about, do not attack my builders, customers, friends, and co workers because it just is not needed here..feels like I am back in high school. Hi Johnny, Thanks for the kind words, but you are probably right. But his "AVN100" name really does suggest an FAA tie in. I wonder if he chose that on purpose?
