Charles, I purchased these grips and found them to be very high quality, and the people real nice to deal with. They will customize them any way you want. Tex

I would probably have more "pull" if we were allowed to park in the Vintage area, but I will talk to the homebuilt parking crew when I arrive at SNF tomorrow afternoon.?? So if you are going to fly to SNF, let me know today so I can give them an idea of how many airplanes we are talking about.? The more airplanes we have, the more likely they are to listen to this request.? Also, I am sure everyone realizes that during the flyin, at times?the number of arriving aircraft can get overwhelming and parking crews do their best just to get everyone safely parked.? If you arrive at one of these busy times, you may find yourself parked next to a "belchfire 400"? instead of where you want to be.? If that is the case, you may be able to move later when things settle down.? If you see several Lightning in a parking row, walk there and save yourself a spot and move your aircraft later.? Also be advised, all of the parking crew are volunteers and they get lots of "s trange" request at times.? Some of the crew are more "friendly" and some can be, well, not so accommodating, so to speak.? But we shall see.? Lets have a great turn out.? See you there. Hi Jacques, The Lightning has a long 'nose so maybe could fit your engine. Not sure about the 'bulk' as the 3300 Jab that fits the Lightning is quite slim. I don't have my new Lightning cowling yet but there maybe a builder on the Lightning list that has a virgin cowling and can give you the sizes you have asked for below. Arion also monitor the list but they are preparing for Sun + Fun so are quite busy at the moment. Lightning guys. Can anyone who's not cut their cowling help Jacques with the sizes? a) from L to R on the FW side b) from top to bottom on the FW side c) from the FW to the "nose" of the cowling Regards, Clive ________________________________ From: jacques-point [mailto:jacques-point@wanadoo.fr] Sent: 17 April 2009 11:04 Subject: Cowling for Europa Hi Clive, I am an europa builder (Kit # 148) in France and I am looking for a nice cowling that could accept my subaru engine. Do you have, by any chance the main sizes of the cowling you have ordered ? a) from L to R on the FW side b) from top to bottom on the FW side c) from the FW to the "noze" of the cowling My engine plus PSRU are a little to long. Furthermore, this would make the europa a little less "bulky" :-) with a longer noze... Thanks in advance for your help with best regards Jacques Point PS: are you working for BP ? I am now in Russia, for TOTAL
