The forecast rain for this morning did not happen (at least not yet) and the skies are clear with a 12 knot wind out of the SSW. Current temp is a nice 72 degrees. They are still calling for a chance of afternoon showers, but the way things look, I don't see where they would come from. A small shower or two would be appreciated to settle the dust in the aircraft parking areas. I saw Nick and Mark this morning and they reported that Ryan did arrive in his demonstrator and it will be in the Lightning booth - not in the ultra light area as before. So you can see the Green Landings demonstrator along side the Tennessee demonstrator when you stop by the booth. A few aircraft arriving this morning, but so far the field is nowhere near full, so come on down. Blue skies, Buz Below is the new SLSA Lightning LS-1 in the SNF Light Sport Mall **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. In a message dated 4/20/2009 10:38:37 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, pequeajim@gmail.com writes: Ryan did arrive in his demonstrator and it will be in the Lightning booth - CORRECTION---------------- Ryan is apparently here in Bob Haas' new jet, as the N number is N330BH. Looks nice. It is in the Lighning booth next to the silver demo. The most exciting thing I have seen so far was the 3 ship (in trail) arrival of 3 Legend Cubs headed for their display booth. On landing the third one, painted silver to resemble a "Taylor Cub", had an exciting "spin out". His well executed ground loop on the runway was a 270 degree turn. He touched down on runway 27 and almost immediately turned left and ended up facing north. No apparent damage as he taxied in from there. Wind at the time was about 220 at 12. I remember every time I flew my Cessna 170 or my Cub here in the past, there would always be some sort of cross wind. My trips in the Bonanza or the Esqaul will almost always result in winds right down the runway. The pilot of this Cub apparently has the same "wind luck" that I always had. It got to be so bad that several years I would try to arrive before SNF closed RW 05/23 before the show started. A few more aircraft are arriving this afternoon, even though we did have a small rain drop or two. Field remained VFR and certainly not enough rain to help the dusty parking area problem. My airplane is covered in dust because of a Lancair parked in front of me taxied in with lots of power. Some people just don't realize what their prop wash is doing. bummer. More later, Buz **************A Good Credit Score is 700 or Above. See yours in just 2 easy steps! hmpgID%3D62%26bcd%3DAprilfooter420NO62)
