Hi everyone,
Arrived Oshkosh this afternoon about 3 PM local. Absolutely beautiful
VFR day, OAT on the "deck" was only 72 degrees, and a blue sky with only a
few white puffy clouds. Only 7 days until the start of the show and there
are already some vintage aircraft here and several of my friends (from
Montana and Oregon). I expect other buddies to arrive throughout the week of
course the big influx of aircraft starting this Thursday then throughout
the weekend. If the weather stays like this it is going to be a great year.
I have already been around the area enough to see some of the major
changes that should make the show more people friendly to those walking
around. Remember the Lightning booth is going to be in a new area this year -
to the west of Aeroshell Square and out nearer the main entrance.
Also, just so you can start planning your time here, the Lightning
forum is scheduled for Wednesday, 7/29/2009 - 5:30 PM - 6:45 PM - in the forum
pavilion number 5, the REMOS Aircraft Pavilion. We need a good turnout of
Lightning enthusiast as a show of force and to help support Nick. So be
there.
I don't seem to remember if we have established a time for a Lightning
get together at their booth. Nick, have we?????
