Subject: Gross weights
Hi Buz,
I might be quite wrong but my understanding is that the lighter gross
weight is for the European VLA standard of 460 kgs. None of these 460 kg
aircraft came into Australia and I would assume the US. Can't remember
whether it's 450 or 460.
The VLA version had longer and lighter wings and only 1 fuel tank and a
smaller useful load as I understand it. At least that was the case when
I bought mine. The 2 different versions were made for Europe(460hg VLA)
and the US (560 kg) Someone with more knowledge might be able to correct
me or fill in the gaps.
