I know that I probably should convert to the Lightning style leg, but thought I'd give it one shot to find an exact replacement. Also, If you have an original Esqual nosewheel pant, that would be a bonus. Thanks for any help in getting me back in the air. If you can't find that though, you should consider the Lightning leg, wheelpant, and cowling. It is a more expensive route but you'll see improvements in speed, fuel burn, cooling, and everybodies favorite, looks. Just a thought. Brian W. Went on the site and there were multiple tow bars for RV's. Would that listening person send the RV tow bar model that can be used on our Lightning's. Your assistance would be appreciated. Sending this information off list would be fine. But did the two have different central beam assemblies? I certainly don't know, but if they do, then I would caution anyone to be sure exactly which central beam version you have. How is your "jet" doing, by the way? I haven't flown much during this really bad winter we had, but spring is here now, so things should pick up. I have close to 645 hours on my Esqual LS now. Jabiru engine is still purring along nicely. Over twice the speed of my Cub on the same fuel burn. Love it. You going to make it to Oshkosh? Blue skies, Buz In a message dated 3/20/2010 10:24:23 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, malannx@bigpond.com writes: Hi Buz, I might be quite wrong but my understanding is that the lighter gross weight is for the European VLA standard of 460 kgs. None of these 460 kg aircraft came into Australia and I would assume the US. Can't remember whether it's 450 or 460. The VLA version had longer and lighter wings and only 1 fuel tank and a smaller useful load as I understand it. At least that was the case when I bought mine. The 2 different versions were made for Europe(460hg VLA) and the US (560 kg) Someone with more knowledge might be able to correct me or fill in the gaps. I think I read it was a $1200 upgrade. Is this true? Has anyone upgraded theirs yet? If so, any comments pro or con would be appreciated Thanks Bear N82PB ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message lightning-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/Lightning-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/lightning-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/lightning-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
