To all,
To upgrade an existing unit (an S100 or S200 WS or HS) to an SX with
synthetic vision is $1,400.00. Also, this is per unit. If you initially
order the unit with synthetic vision then it's a $1,200.00 upgrade. Again,
per unit. Take a look at the GRT price page:
http://www.grtavionics.com/product.aspx?productno=1&featureno=22.
We'll be flying our newest LS-1 sometime this week and it has a Sport SX
with synthetic vision. We'll do a little write up and get it into the April
or May newsletter.
Hope this helps!
Mark

Folks,
If you own a GRT Sport EFIS, it looks like they upgraded it with the
synthetic vision and moving maps. I think I read it was a $1200 upgrade.
Is this true? Has anyone upgraded theirs yet?
If so, any comments pro or con would be appreciated
Thanks

Hi Buz,
Just under 500 hrs on mine. Have put a Sensenich prop(carbon adjust) on
May last year. Long story chasing engine vibrations, but turned out to
be the electric actuator on the Rospeller C/S. Have had a fair amount of
trouble getting the pitch right as the setting is extremely sensitive
0.5 degrees goes from being a climb prop to a cruise prop, but have it
right now, I think??? I really miss the C/S but love the simplicity of
the Sensenich. Prop is like the wood Sensenich with turned forward tips.
Looks weird.
Have been fiddling with mixture adjustment on my Rotax-runs very rich
the higher I go. Most recent trip to pick up a doz bottles wine saw just
on 14 litre/hr at 119-120 kts at av 8000'. Would normally be 18-19L.
Works on the same principle as the Haqman?? and is best above 7000' on
part throttle. No Oshkosk for a few years. By then might have a
Lightning if the improvements keep coming :) Dennis would still have to
be the Aus agent.
Malcolm
