(n5pb@AOL.COM) ________________________________ Message 1 _____________________________________ Time: 01:26:23 PM PST US From: "flylightning" Subject: Lightning-List: Lightning Gear The new gear was designed for the SLSA lightning specifically. Because the aircraft had the potential to be in a flight school, or flown by low time sport pilots a new gear was in order. This is one of the few things that are different and specific to the SLSA LS-1. I think based on the interest we have a tech article for the next news letter. You will all have to come to SNF to get a first hand look. This is beginning to be an epidemic as the weather gets nicer. We have got another one up today. Serial #88 is a SLSA LS-1 owned by Ed Ryan. We have got 2 hours on so far today and will try for another before the rain tomorrow. So far flying well, as expected. This one has the new landing gear design on it and it is very nice, kind of got a Cadillac feel to it..and no shimmy even with 30psi in the tires. Not sure if this is 51 or 52 I know there are a few other ones out there really close.
