Subject: | May 2010 Lightning Newsletter |
All,
Once again. I am happy to announce that, right on schedule, the latest
issue of the Lightning Newsletter with Sun-N-Fun coverage is now posted on
the three websites that carry our newsletters. Go to one of these sites
to read the latest news:
_http://www.flylightning.net/_ (http://www.flylightning.net/)
_http://www.greenlandings.com/_ (http://www.greenlandings.com/)
_http://www.jimslightning.com/_ (http://www.jimslightning.com/)
Featured in this issue is Bill Browns' Lightning of the Month as well as
Sun-N-Fun coverage with many photos and comments.
Special recognition and congratulations go to two Lightning builders, Jim
Johannes and Steve Biele. Jim won Reserve Grand Champion for Light Sport
Aircraft at Sun-N-Fun and Steve won the Best Overall Aircraft at the recent
Australian NATFLY. Outstanding!
Also look for the latest factory news, another engine clinic article by
Pete Krotje, tech tips (one on aircraft brakes), and a flight safety article
on transition training. There are also inputs and photos from readers Ray
Gage and Allan Maxwell.
Please let me have some feedback on the newsletter. It depends on you for
content and on your comments for improvement.
Blue Skies,
Buz Rich

Great Newsletter, Buz, as usual!
"They have completed their demo Lightning, but still had a few wiring
connections to complete, so were not able to bring it to Lakeland. By the
time you are reading this, their airplane should be flying." - not yet, the
Eyjafjallajokull is to blame. Russian team of 12 or so only left on 28th
(flights cancelled and delayed due to that volcanic ash). And they were in
the hangar every day all day from the end of the Sun-n-Fun to their
departure. BBQ, taking the houseboat to the river (Gator wrestling anyone?)
and other non-airplane related activities. We've recovered from their stay
and working on the Lightning. Will post the pictures as soon as the N787FL
flies.
All the best,
Max

Olena just noticed - the phone number for Moonshine Aviation in the
newsletter is wrong - the correct one is 386-873-9995
Thanks,
Max
