Dear Listers,
There are just a few more days left of this year's List Fund Raiser. Response
has been good so far, but we're well behind last year at this point. If you've
been waiting until the last minute to make your Contribution, now might be good
time to show your support and maybe pick up a nice gift as well!
Please remember that there is no commercial advertising on these Lists and the
*only* means of keeping them running is through your Contributions during this
Fund Raiser. If it weren't for your individual Contributions, these Lists could
easily become economically infeasible and simply cease to exist.
You probably can't even take the family out to dinner for $20 these days, but your
individual Contribution of the same amount makes a huge difference in keeping
the List services alive.

Oh puhleeeeeze. Ablative material on the glareshield!!! This is just a simple
local heating issue that people need to be aware of, it doesn't require mental
gymnastics to pretend that something to simple does not exist.

Hey Nick,
Congratulations to you and all the Lightning team for this latest
successful first flight. Is this your newest demonstrator or a customer's
airplane? I'll put a note in the next newsletter.
On other subjects - I'm in DC for an afternoon meeting, but don't
forget to send me the data for the NASA contractor. They are anxious to
proceed.
And - did you get the 0-360 photos? Any interest?

problems noted. Normal adjustments to be as expected and some more flying this
afternoon.

Hey Dougie (the hangar rat), I really enjoy your pugnacious sense of
humor. How about you doing a monthly section for the newsletter that introduces
us to new words - maybe a "Definitions by Doug" column.
Blue skies,
Buz
PS: How is the Cub coming along? Remember the Cub convoy to Sun-N-Fun
this coming year.

The latest to Fly is owned by Bill Allen. It is equipped with a Big Screen
GRT Sport EFIS and Tru Track autopilot. Like the paint job reminds me of our
last demo bird.
We won't be building any new demo birds for a while. I want to keep our
current one cause she's a sweet flying jet and just love the new blue.
Plus I still haven't learned all the neat tricks the GDU375 ( Panel mount
696) will do, any she has got an English Accent!

The model is the WC51 a 5 in wheel with external calipers. The MC4 master
cylinders are the once we use. Interesting enough the Esqual mater cylinders
will provide enough pressure to hold the matco brakes but you will have to
convert the caliper for the use of the DOT fluid as the o rings are mil506.
use some 500-5 goodyears and you will be set fine for grass operations.
Remember to tell matco the axle size for the weld-ment on the esqual. I
think it is 5/8" but don't remember.
Nick
