On the flap motor issue; I forget just what your panel setup is but I wonder how accurate your airspeed is. I have a flat screen and a steam driven ASI and I have found that there is a variable difference between the two of up to 8 - 10 kt. I haven't finished the testing of all this but my opinion ATM is that the steam driven ASI is good and the errors are in the flat panel and are related to altitude and / or temperature. Be that as it may, if I look at the flat panel ASI which is say 8 kt slow, then I can't get full flap if my ASI is anyway near the max flap speed. Thus it seems that the flap motor is marginal and won't extend full flap above max flap speed. Now this is not necessarily a bad thing but it is probably an unintentional feature. I'd be interested to know if you are confident of your ASI indications. For D10/D100/FlightDEK D180 installation, you would need AP74 (AP interface module - $450), two servos at $750 each, generic installation push-pull hardware ($50 for both servos + 1/4" rod end bearing sold separately). You would need to manufacture or buy a couple of aluminum brackets to hold the servos and a tube clamp for the pitch attachment. Add the cost of wiring and installation and you are there. Hope that helps, Max On Sun, Dec 5, 2010 at 4:23 PM, Allan Maxwell wrote: > > I would like to install a dynon auto pilot any help. I added another set of holes for the static line. On the supplied assembly there is one hole. I added another the same size to the other side. I then placed a set of holes (1/8") about 1 inch back of these holes. I found that corrected my air speed indications very accurate and have checked them at all speeds. I use a steam gauge for airspeed and also found it improved the auto pilot response on altitude. What is exercising my mind more at the moment is the variable difference between the two ASI indicators which share the same pitot / static system. Sorting out things like that helps to keep us off the street I suppose. :D -------- Cheers, Selwyn Kit 66 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=322559#322559 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Matronics Email List Services ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Post A New Message lightning-list@matronics.com UN/SUBSCRIBE http://www.matronics.com/subscription List FAQ http://www.matronics.com/FAQ/Lightning-List.htm Web Forum Interface To Lists http://forums.matronics.com Matronics List Wiki http://wiki.matronics.com Full Archive Search Engine http://www.matronics.com/search 7-Day List Browse http://www.matronics.com/browse/lightning-list Browse Digests http://www.matronics.com/digest/lightning-list Browse Other Lists http://www.matronics.com/browse Live Online Chat! http://www.matronics.com/chat Archive Downloading http://www.matronics.com/archives Photo Share http://www.matronics.com/photoshare Other Email Lists http://www.matronics.com/emaillists Contributions http://www.matronics.com/contribution ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These Email List Services are sponsored solely by Matronics and through the generous Contributions of its members.
