Buz, Sorry, I didn't mean it as a put down. We're still on the same side when the shooting starts. Marine joke being sent privately. Earl In a message dated 1/9/2011 9:50:28 P.M. Sorry, Earl and Case, but there will never be enough to counter my swagger. By the way, is it true what they say; "The Marine Corp is the men's department of the Navy"? Blue Skies guys, Buz

I'm wondering how long will it take you people to get to the poor old ex-US DOS contractors. With respect to all the branches, Max PS Mark, according to the Russian Army "NCO is not an O" - did you get the same kind of treatment here, or was it any better? As you probably know we are Non Commissioned Officers. Then there are the Warrant Officers. Then the Commissioned Officers. As a senior E8 not many gave me too much grief. I also was their property book manager and main purchasing agent among other things. What got most commanders in my field in trouble was lost property. I always had good working relationships with my commanders. Best advice for new junior officers: Earn the respect of your chief. Without him (or her) it's a long, uphill battle. I suspect that rings true in all the services. Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=326402#326402

Yup, how do you get a personal office and an assistant in two weeks' at the new job? Figure out your chief is a poker nut. Just my 2c.
