A bit more checking on this and there seems to be another candidate in this range. This is the PR12-02-2A65 model family. http://products.danahermotion.com/v41/ModelDetail.asp?User=Actuators_Linear&PkgOrder=542 This offers a 250 lb force and a number of options including one which would be very useful for the flap system. "Position follower input provides the possibility to make the extension tube position follow the setting of a customer provided trim potentiometer" I could see this providing a "dial the flap setting" control instead of having to hold the finger on the switch. To get the detailed dimensions you need to download the catalogue from the downloads tab on the product spec page. -------- Cheers, Selwyn Kit 66 Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=342766#342766

Right on, Nick, I know exactly what you are saying. Of the 8 different experimental aircraft models I have made first flights in, the one that should have been the easiest turned out to be the most exciting from somet hing that was totally unexpected and not even related to anything on the checklist. So your comment about no matter how many you do, eventually on e will have something totally unexpected happen and remind you not to get too comfortable in the test pilot role. I really look forward to your article . Keep up the great work out there in Lightning Land. Blue Skies, Buz In a message dated 6/11/2011 1:36:37 P.M. Gary Bowser=99s Exp Lightning flew yesterday afternoon with no hitc hes and only normal adjustment to be needed. Also Tim Schmidt=99s EXP Lightning flew today, hands off rigging an d a very economical approach topped off the flight. Look for pictures of both aircraft in the next news letter, or if either Gary or Tim have got some first flight shots they can put up that would be great too.
