Subject: | Re: New Brake lines |
Hi Bear,
At last year's Sun-n-Fun fly in, I peered into a Rans S-7 and noticed it ha
d stainless steel braided brake lines and I thought that that was the way t
o go. Now there may, or may not be, a thing wrong with the 1/8" clear, comp
ression fitting brake lines that are the standard in use for Lightning kit
planes, and they are certainly easier to route, but they're not the accepte
d standard in the light plane industry, from what I've seen.
I like your method much better, even though it may be more expensive.
The main questions I have concern the fitting and hose sizes, and their len
gths. If you have that information, can you make it available to the group?
Here in Houston, TX, there are some good companies that sell AN hose mater
ials, or they can fabricate the hoses for you, if you do not have the mandr
els or expertise to do so yourself. If you have that info, some builders, m
e amongst them, would really appreciate it very much.
Thanks for improving the breed.
Regards,
Bernardo, kit #110
