You can buy Champion spark plugs (RA4HC 0r 905) which come with the
caps. TEX

OK, so i go to Discount Auto to purchase the NGK D9EA and the plugs do
not have the caps; has threaded tips only. I asked them if they were
sold separately. Their reply was no and they even went to their NGK rep
to ask about it...Discount Auto was told that NGK only packages the
plugs with the threads-no caps.
Has anyone else experienced this?
Is there a location where I can buy the screw-on caps to put on the
plugs?
Thanks

SelwynThe problem with pushing a Lightning or any other aircraft with a swi
veling nose wheel backwards is the wheel turns to either side and you can't
stear it. With the castered wheels on the cart it doesn't matter if the n
ose wheel turns as you can push the nose either left or right at the same t
ime you are pushing it backwards into the hanger. I used 2 inch casters as
I have smooth asphalt. If your ramp is rougher just use bigger casters bu
t you will need a longer ramp to get it onto the cart. Gary

I must have missed something here=2C I can't see how placing the nosewheel
on a
platform with casters will make it roll backwards any more nicely than it d
oes
at present. Is there a steering bar in there somewhere?

Subject: | Re: Oil circuit? |
Hi Clive. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound corrective, just that I've seen enough
of these things in bits to learn a few details.
Without modifying the rocker shaft bush most of the oil flow would end up issuing
from the top of the rocker as that is the low resistance path. The rocker
shaft would be lubricated from the dribble and splash effect. Drilling a hole
in the bush provides a direct path to the rocker shaft but this would be relatively
restricted by the fit of the bush on the shaft so most oil probably still
ends up coming out the top of the rocker. Just to be clear, by "the top of
the rocker" I mean the upper tip of the rocker as it sits in the engine. The
gallery exits here, not on the inner face which contacts the valve stem.
