I drilled a hole in the outer flap support bracket and have a couple of sma ll shackles purchased from a ships chandlers. This allows the attachment of straps to tie downs. On the nose I use the engine mount. I haven=99t got a tie down for th e tail, maybe I should think about that. Regards, Clive P.S. Esqual has 46 hours on it! Sorry for the inconvenience but Mark, Pete, and I have been very busy with the FAA. Back in January the main office in DC had contacted us about the possibilit y to conduct a prototype Audit. The Audit is to verify Compliance to all ASTM standards for the SLSA proces s. The FAA is exploring the possibility of their entity doing mandated audits of SLSA facilities like ours. Keep in mind there is no such requirement now except for a Self-audit, and the FAA wanted to practice test their prototype process. We invited them to come down and have a look at our documents and facility. The picture above Is from yesterday=99s activities. We are half way t hru our final day today. Its been a long week we have been at it since Tues day from 8-5 every day. Short story is the process was an enjoyable one, provided much education an d insight. Look for a full write up of our experience in a next newsletter. We will be returning calls and back to normal business tomorrow.
