Subject: | Outboard horizontal tail finish MK2 |
This is how the end of our tail looks. The cut back of course if for elevato
r down clearance. The new tail needs less elevator travel. Up travel is limi
ted to 15 degrees while down travel is between 12-15 degrees. All new kits s
hip with this tail.

If glassing the tail on, save some time and dont finish the inspection cover
. No nut plates or rivets, just glue it shut and glass over with the lower g
ap tape.

Subject: | Alternative to molded in cabin NACA scoops |
We have cut the molded in NACA scoops out of the fuselage and installed SV2 s
coops from VANs. Provides a nice finish on the outside.

Subject: | New molded in elevator trim tab and inspection cover |
This elevator is new from custom fiberglass with premolded trim tab and cut o
ut. Also prefinished is the location of the trim motor inspection cover. Bui
lding is about the same. Look for updates to the manual once this one is com
plete.

Subject: | Elevator hinge shim |
To prevent paint from scuffing off the hinge during operation install a shim
. We built shims 0.010 in thickness to fit between the hinge and elevator. T
he movement is much smoother and the paint stays put.
