Flanges are 3/8". With the h ole locations about at the intersection in the corner. Cut on the line excep t in the corners to leave material for the #6 nutplates and hardware. We opt ed to make the door out of 0.050 aluminum, however the kit comes with some 3 layer plate to fabricate from. Nick Sent from my pocket



________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 12:09:54 PM PST US Subject: Lightning-List: Elevator trim tab hinge From: Nick Otterback The aluminum hinge needs to be bonded in with either 24hr aeropoxy/flox mix o r we used Plexus MA310. Plexus is the structural adhesive used through out t he plane for construction at custom fiberglass. Once the hinge is cured the gap between it and the lower skin must be filled . Use scrap baggage floor material to fabricate a 1/2" wide part that is the length of the hinge. The material is already the correct thickness at 3/16" thick. Bomd this part in, leave is slightly recessed in ablut 1/16" or slig ht more for flox filler later. Nick Sent from my pocket
