Subject: Cold Weather Starting

Last month I purchased Esqual N 151GH. I am reading everything about these planes
and there Jabiru engines, including the Lightning info. A few questions
have cropped up, the most important is cold weather starting. On the rare occasions
my plane will be sitting much of a day at 20 degrees F or less. What starting
procedures are used/ recommended? I have tried twice to start this engine
in the cold without pre-heat and have had no luck. I always pre-heat but
there are rare occasions it just isn't available. Any comments and procedures
are welcome.
