Hey Buz: Another fantastic job. Thank you for your efforts. As an aside, I
returned home yesterday after hospital release from a Gaul Bladder
operation. Cheers to all.

Lightning Group,
Attached is the latest Lightning Newsletter. I had delayed publishing it
from the 4th quarter of 2013 in order to include a full flight test report
on the new Lightning XS with the Superior O-320, 160 HP engine.
Unfortunately, circumstances such as weather and supplier delays have prev
ented the
Lightning XS from being totally ready for the complete flight tests. Nic

and I agreed that there was no reason to fly the test profiles unless the
XS
was in its final configuration to include all gear leg fairings and wheel
pants. We hope that is the case early next week when I=99ll be in T

before we all head to Sun N Fun. And yes, the Lightning XS will be flown
to Lakeland to be on display at Sun N Fun. You can look forward the readin

the flight tests report in the newsletter after this one which will be

Newsletter will also include coverage of Sun N Fun.
This newsletter issue, the last that I will write, includes coverage of
the 2013 Lightning Homecoming from last October and the Sebring Light Sport
Expo from this past January. As usual it also included updates from the
factory, inputs from builders and flyers, and tech tips from Lightning
builders.
Speaking of Sun N Fun, I hope to see many of you there. It is always a fun
event and a chance to catch up with Lightning builders and flyers and to
meet potential future customers. For those of you that will be there, be
sure to plan on attending one of the two Lightning Forums that are
scheduled. The first one is Thursday, 3 April at 1200 in room 7 in the fo
rum
building, and the second one is on Saturday, 5 April at 1:00 in room 3. A
s
usual, there will also be a Lightning meeting for everyone interested in t

Lightning at the booth at noon on Friday. But don=99t hesitate to
come by the
booth every day to say hello and meet other members of the =9CLightn

Buz,
As usual, a great newsletter. If I can do half as well, the newsletter wil
l be pretty darn good. I will endeavor, however, to keep up the quality yo
u have put into the newsletter over these past years. I cannot thank you e
nough for the work you have put into this aircraft we all have come to love
.
For all of the newsletter fans, I plan to put out a quarterly newsletter as
it has evolved. I believe at this point a quarterly newsletter meets our
requirements. There may be needs to include interim updates. I will work
with Arion Aircraft and the fine folks in Shelbyville to determine when tho
se are needed. I am also sure this is not the last we will hear from Buz o
n the Lightning. I expect to see some tech inputs that will keep us intere
sted as we build, modify, update, and fly our "Jets" all over the world.
As we move forward, I will welcome pictures and articles from Lightning own
ers and the great group of Lightning Dealers out there. My e-mail is dwwil
t@aol.com. If you send pictures, please send some information about the p
icture., the importance, where it is, what is going on, etc.
Regards,
