It has the "speed kit", good epoxy paint, leather seats and a Dynon 10" Skyview. For weight saving I did a LOT of surface smoothing and sanding before painting, sanded most of the primer off before the top coat, used very light weight cockpit & baggage area lining, and replaced all steel packing washers (spar box etc) with alloy blocks. I had to weigh mine 3 times using calibrated scales - rotating each scale under each wheel - to be confident of the weight. We have another Lightning at our club which is finished very much mike mine and it is 6kg lighter. Hope that helps! I would like to have actual 'as weighed' numbers as opposed to what the factory has put out. Please check your weight and balance papers and respond to this forum. My plane, that is very sparsely equipped, comes in at 40 lbs heavier than the factory advertisements. Either my scales (electronic) are way off or ???? Thanks to all.
