My volt meter is reading up to 14.7 volts when running around 3000rpm. Is this normal or should it max out around 13.7? If this is high, I guess I need a new regulator? My problem is the Garmin system seems to fluctuate as the voltage gets up to 14.5 or more volts. When you pull back the throttle and let the voltage drop, things settle down. Thanks, Curt Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=439130#439130 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 02:18:37 PM PST US Subject: Re: Lightning-List: alternator voltage output From: James Clive Both mine top out at 14.4 v > On 7 Mar 2015, at 21:21, curts63 wrote: > > > My question is this, what is the normal output of the alternator in voltage? Some times it is 14.2volts. If you are looking for 13.7 volts, that is way to low. If your battery is charged up before departure, your alt ernator should stay near 14.2 volts.Wayne2008 Lightning kit 63 3300 Ja biru.N123wl ---------- Original Message ---------- From: James Clive Subject: Re: Lightning-List: alternator voltage output Both mine top out at 14.4 v > On 7 Mar 2015, at 21:21, curts63 wrote: > > > My question is this, what is the normal output of the alternator in vo ltage?
